“Dr. MJ Wixsom is truly caring and compassionate. It is so apparent she truly does care about your furbaby. She takes her time with you and makes sure you understand not only what, but why. My Max is feeling so much better, thanks to her!” Becky S.

“Last week I brought my 19-year-old cat in for a second opinion after I left the first place I took her feeling uninformed and upset. I ended up having to put my cat to sleep, so it was the first and only time they saw my cat, but Dr. Wixsom and her staff were so kind about it all and really walked me through what was happening and what my options were. After my cat passed, Dr. Wixsom brought me an imprint of her paws and later that day the office sent me a rose with the sweetest sympathy card. Such small gestures and acts of kindness meant so much to me on such a hard day. I will definitely be bringing all my animals here when I’m in Ashland in the future.” Kristina L.

“Dr Wixom thank goodness for you! The only veterinarian who cares for parrots in the Ashland area!” Leslie K.

“Dr. Wixsom and all of the staff have been nothing but awesome with my 2 dogs and 1 cat. They are compassionate and always treat my fur babies with care! Dr. Wixsom has stayed diligent trying to find the safest and best allergy treatment for my now senior dog. To me, their jobs are very stressful and emotionally trying. Thanks to all of them!” Sharon B.

“I have never had a bad experience. The doctor is compassionate and knowledgeable. The staff is kind. Highly recommend!” Jim H.

“Dr. Wixsom is awesome!! She and her staff helped us in a dire time when our kitten was ill. I would highly recommend Guardian Animal Medical Center.” Jessica S.

“Thank you so much for your help with Bentley. I miss him so much, but I feel very secure in the idea that we did all we could. Also, I think it was amazing of you to include my boy Bentley in your article in the paper. That made our day and really made me feel like part of the Guardian family. Thank you for that. It meant a lot to us. Thanks again” Adam, Missy, and Briar

“My first encounter was under dire distress. My 6 mo old mastiff mix was unresponsive after a short period outside. I was clueless as to what happened and rushed him over as fast as I could with 2 young kids in the car. Jay’s Mom met me to intercept the kids. He passed in my arms as I was carrying him inside. MJ and her staff let me take him to an exam room to give me a minute. MJ still looked at him and thought that it may have been an unknown birth defect since he came from such a large litter (22 pups). They even took care of him and placed him on the back seat of my car. In the next week, I received a piece of mail from Guardian Animal. I assumed it was a bill… no it wasn’t. They mailed me a sympathy card instead. Thank you, MJ for providing such great sympathy and care on one of the worst days of this fur-mama’s life.” Destiny C.

“Dr. Wixsom and her staff are wonderful and have always taken such good care of our dogs. We walked through old age, illness, and saying good-bye to our last two dogs with her and her staff, and they were knowledgeable and compassionate. Today we brought our new puppy in to meet her, and we are so grateful to know Sally Star is in such good hands. Highly recommend!” Lacy L.

“We’ve been taking our dog here since we got him and the entire staff has always been great. Dr. Wixsom loves the pets she treats.” Miranda P.

“I love how my furbabies are treated here! Such a wonderful environment and they always take time to answer any questions.” Megan R.

“Dr. Wixsom and her staff are both loving and competent. I have taken all my dogs there for over 20 years for treatment and boarding. My Bailey doesn’t trust easily and though she is in the end stage of heart failure, she is at ease in their presence which tells me a lot about her care. Dr. Wixsom is happy to explain treatment options and costs involved. Thank you all so much for your care and for making us feel like part of the extended family.” Sally S.
