Gifted kids do not fit with the majority of their classmates. They are different, they think differently and different can be difficult. Intelligence is not something that is rewarded in society until adulthood. Children who are further up on the scale are even more different, enough so, that there has been an optimal intelligence listed that is in the lower levels of gifted.
